Other SYMCAD Applications
Considering its low cost and scalability, the SYMCAD 
technology
may easily be adapted to the new emerging applications like the modelling
of 3-D realistic avatars allowing, among others, to virtually try on clothes
but also for medical purposes, human factors (ergonomics), health and
fitness, etc.
For these new markets, TELMAT Industrie has 
developed
a totally configurable version named SYMCAD OptiFit Pro. It becomes
then possible to increase the number of 3-D vision units according to
the required level of accuracy and coverage.
The positioning of SYMCAD 3-D vision
units (projector-camera couples) depends on the topology of the 3-D surface
to be captured. SYMCAD OptiFit Pro Data is compliant with OpenGL standard (Open Inventor
IV format).
